Hi, I’m Alisa. I’m a mother of three and a professional pregnancy, birth, and postpartum doula who believes that while pregnancy and birth can feel scary and overwhelming, they don’t have to be.

First, congratulations, Mama! Hi, I'm Alisa—a mother of three and a professional pregnancy and birth doula. I believe that while pregnancy and birth can feel scary and overwhelming, they don't have to be. If you're feeling scared, overwhelmed, or just not sure, I'm your gal. You've got this, and I've got you! This work is truly my calling.
On the front lines of labor and delivery, I've supported over 150 hospital births through my private practice, my work at UCSD Medical Center in San Diego, and my volunteer service with the U.S. Navy through Operation Doula. I continue advanced training under OB-GYN Dr. Bill Chun to maintain a high level of clinical excellence and stay current with evidence-based childbirth practices.
I'm also the founder of Let's Talk Birthy, a heart-centered pregnancy and birth education company. Through this work, I've guided thousands of women, especially first-time and high-risk mothers, from fear to preparedness, supporting safe, healthy hospital births and strong beginnings to motherhood.
My philosophy is simple: a gentle, grounded approach that meets you exactly where you are. It's built on three core ideas: agency, so you feel in charge of your choices; support, so you never feel alone; and mindset, so you can embrace the wonder and transformation of this journey. It's not about doing it "right"; it's about feeling confident, present, and empowered every step of the way.
I believe every birth carries a story, and every woman's story deserves to be seen, heard, and honored. Whoever you are, your birth truly matters to me.
Overall, my goal is to help you feel confident, supported, and empowered as you step into this transformative moment. Thank you for trusting me to be a small part of one of the most meaningful moments of your life, as you bring your tiny human into the world.
