Hi, I'm Brandi! I have supported families for over ten years in a wide range of roles, including early childhood education, research, case management, counseling, and birth work. I am a DONA International-certified doula and cross-certified through ProDoula. Now a student midwife, I bring a deep well of experience and a heartfelt commitment to supporting families through pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period, and this work is truly my calling.
My care is rooted in a holistic approach inspired by traditional midwifery, incorporating practices such as rebozo techniques, closing the bones, herbal remedies, and massage. Alongside these offerings, I provide thoughtful, evidence-based support for hospital births. My goal is to seamlessly weave advocacy, education, and gentle presence to meet every family where they are, honoring their values, choices, and unique birth journeys.
My philosophy is rooted in the belief that every person carries an innate wisdom when it comes to their body, their baby, and their birth. My role as a doula is to help families reconnect with that wisdom, to guide rather than direct, so they can step into this experience feeling informed, empowered, and deeply supported. I offer tools, education, and resources alongside something just as important: emotional presence, validation, warmth, and a steady hand through every twist and turn, because pregnancy, birth, and postpartum are not just physical experiences, they are profoundly human ones.
My approach is holistic, rooted in both ancient wisdom and modern evidence. I have had the profound honor of learning from traditional midwives across Mexico, Ecuador, Peru, and Malaysia, carrying forward time-honored practices like belly binding, rebozo work, belly sifting, herbal support, and somatic care. These teachings, passed down through generations of women, form the heart of how I show up for families. Alongside this, I have completed evidence-based training with local OBGYNs and top doula certification programs, because I believe the old ways and the new ways are most powerful together.
It takes a village, and that is why I do this work. My why is deeply personal. When I look at my own mother, I see what it looks like to go through this journey without enough support, without someone in her corner offering warmth, guidance, and presence. I became a doula to be the village I wish she had, so that no family has to do this alone.
Whether a family is preparing for a home birth, a hospital birth, navigating a loss, or settling into the tender season of postpartum, I show up as a steady advocate and witness. I honor every outcome, every choice, and every unique experience, because no two births are the same, and there is always something sacred to learn. Overall, my greatest hope is that every family leaves this journey feeling held, confident, and more connected to themselves than ever before.
