Camille Marcello

Full Spectrum Doula

About Me

Hi, I'm Camille! I have wanted to be a doula and midwife since I was seven years old. Back then, I would ask family members, and any unsuspecting pregnant person I met, "When you have a baby, can I be there with you, please?" At age 17, I had the honor of witnessing birth for the first time, surrounded by the mother, her midwife, her husband, and me, a budding doula! From that moment, I knew exactly what I was meant to do. Supporting families as they prepare for and meet their children is truly my calling.

Before pursuing doula certification, I had the privilege of supporting friends and family on their most special days. And now, truly a dream come true, I have dedicated my life to this work. There is nothing I would rather do, and nowhere I would rather be, than with families as they prepare for and meet their children for the first time.

In preparation for my DONA International certification, I attended Childbirth Education and Doula Training, along with a rigorous curriculum of self-study through books, videos, podcasts, peer-reviewed journals, and much more. Paired with that study, I am a strong advocate for introspection, therapy, and various means of self-care, all so that I can be the grounded, unwavering support needed for birth. I am deeply grateful to my teachers and to the families I will meet, serve, and learn from on this journey.

Practice Philosophy

Birth is not just a day you get through; it is a memory you will carry with you for the rest of your life. Even if you do not have all the words for it yet, you probably already have a strong sense of how you want that day to feel. There is a vision inside you, maybe quiet, maybe clear, that this experience matters, and that how you are supported, how you are spoken to, and how you are held through it all will shape your memory of becoming a parent.

My role as your doula is to help you connect to that vision and bring it into the choices you make, from how you prepare to how you respond in the moment. I am here to help you understand your options, ask the right questions, and move forward in a way that feels aligned and informed. And when things unfold differently than expected, I am there too, not to fix it, but to help you stay grounded in your values and find meaning and clarity even in the unexpected.

Overall, my goal is to help you trust the wisdom you already hold about what you need, and to feel supported in carrying this experience forward, not just as something you got through, but as a day you can look back on with strength, peace, and even beauty.
