Hi, my name is Catherine. I’m a certified birth and postpartum doula serving the greater Los Angeles area, with a focus on the San Gabriel Valley, Glendale, and Northeast Los Angeles. I’ve called Altadena home for decades and am a mother of two.
My own birth and postpartum experiences—supported by a doula—deeply shaped my path into this work. I experienced both an epidural birth with my first child and an unmedicated home birth with my second, giving me a well-rounded and personal understanding of the many ways birth can unfold. These experiences sparked my passion for empowering birthing people and their partners with knowledge, confidence, and support.
I am certified through DONA and Madriella, and I’m also a Certified Lactation Education Specialist, with additional training in Spinning Babies and Evidence Based Birth. Over the past two decades, I’ve supported more than 300 families, bringing a wealth of knowledge in areas such as labor support, inductions, positioning for optimal progress, postpartum recovery, newborn care, breastfeeding, and babywearing. As a doula, it is truly an honor to walk alongside families during the transformative journey of birth and the postpartum period, offering steady, compassionate support every step of the way.
