About Me

Hi, I'm Catherine Roche, but I like to go by Cat! I'm a 33-year-old wife and mother of two beautiful girls, and I've been a doula for the past two years. It's my joy and passion to support parents through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. I live in Pasadena, California, and I'm eager to support even more parents in 2026!

My approach to childbirth care is simple: every mom deserves the birth of her dreams, and it's my passion to do everything I can to help you have exactly that. I'm hands-on in my support, offering counter pressure, bringing you food, creating a calming environment, and providing whatever else you need in the moment. I'm not here to push my own idea of a perfect birth onto anyone; I truly listen to and empathize with the kind of birth you want, using my discernment and education to support you when you feel pressured into something you don't desire.

I'm a calm presence who finds this role to be a true joy and honor. Your birth matters, your choices matter, and I'm here to walk alongside you every step of the way.

Practice Philosophy

My philosophy is rooted in supporting the whole family—mom, baby, and partner—in any way they need. I believe every mom deserves the birth of her dreams, and I'm here to do everything I can to help make that happen, meeting each family right where they are.

I educate on all things birth, and then I fight for what the parents want. I truly listen to the kind of birth you envision, and I never push my own idea of a perfect birth onto you. With hands-on, calming support and steady advocacy, I'm here to help you feel confident in your choices, especially in moments when you feel pressured into something you don't desire.
