Hi, I'm Charlotte! I'm a birth doula, yoga teacher, and maternal health advocate based in Los Angeles. I've previously lived in Barcelona, Berlin, Providence, and Santa Barbara, and each place and community has shaped who I am today. I support birthing people emotionally, physically, and informationally through pregnancy and birth, with the intention that every person feels deeply cared for, respected, and confident in their choices. This work is truly my calling.
My path to birth work has been shaped by a lifelong love for women's health and community care. In addition to my doula training, I work as a Client Coordinator with the Joy in Birthing Foundation, where I support low-income and single pregnant individuals through high-volume prenatal and birth care. This experience has grounded me in the realities of birth across many settings and strengthened my commitment to equitable, compassionate, and accessible care.
I believe birth is not only a physical experience, but an emotional and relational one, so my approach is gentle, intuitive, collaborative, and centered on relationships and connection. I draw on hands-on comfort techniques, breathwork, and movement from my yoga background, evidence-based education, and a steady emotional presence to help you feel supported at every stage.
Prenatally, I focus on building trust, understanding your values and concerns, and sharing data-backed information so you feel empowered and confident in your decisions. I love connecting over Zoom or in person, with frequent text check-ins along the way. During labor and birth, I offer steady emotional reassurance and hands-on comfort measures based on your preferences, supporting you in navigating medical environments and communicating your needs clearly.
I believe everyone involved in a birth - the birthing person, their partner, and the medical team - is on the same team, so I prioritize open communication and collaboration to create a supportive environment and prevent unnecessary tension or disconnection. My approach to advocacy is calm and low-ego; I see my role as supporting someone else's experience, not leading it.
Postpartum is an area I'm excited to keep growing in, because I believe relationships don't end at birth. I value ongoing connection and continuity of care, and overall, my goal is for you to feel deeply supported, respected, and confident from the very beginning all the way through.
