Hi, I'm Chrishay! I'm a full-spectrum birth doula and Lactation Educator Counselor, a mother of three, and the heart behind Seeds of Love Doula Services. My work is deeply personal. My own journey into motherhood wasn't straightforward; I experienced fertility challenges and needed assistance to conceive, which gave me a deep understanding of just how emotional and layered the path to parenthood can be.
My own pregnancies were high-risk, including preeclampsia, gestational diabetes, a C-section, and a VBAC. I've also experienced pregnancy loss, delivering my angel baby at 20 weeks. These experiences profoundly shaped the way I show up for families today, with empathy, awareness, and deep respect for each unique journey.
Navigating challenges with low milk supply sparked my passion for lactation support and for meeting parents with compassion and without judgment. I understand how emotional and complex feeding journeys can be, and I'm committed to helping families feel supported, informed, and confident in whatever path is best for them.
I provide compassionate, culturally competent support throughout pregnancy, birth, and postpartum, offering a calm, steady presence, physical comfort measures, education, and advocacy so you never feel alone or unheard. Birth is a sacred, intimate space, and to be trusted and invited into it is something I hold with deep respect and honor. Each birth shapes me, expands my understanding, and deepens my appreciation for this work; it's truly my calling.
My approach to prenatal, birth, and postpartum support is rooted in trust, connection, advocacy, and compassion. I believe every birthing person deserves to feel seen, heard, and supported in a way that honors their individual experience, values, and choices.
During the prenatal period, I focus on building a genuine relationship with you, so you feel comfortable, supported, and able to be open about your thoughts, concerns, and desires. That connection helps you move into your birth feeling more grounded and supported.
In labor and birth, I offer a calm and steady presence, providing emotional and physical support while helping you navigate the medical space with confidence. I believe deeply in advocacy, even as I encourage you to trust yourself and use your own voice; and even when things shift, my aim is for you to feel supported, respected, and cared for throughout. In the postpartum period, I center healing, rest, and adjustment. This phase can be tender and overwhelming, so I show up with patience, reassurance, and no judgment, whether that's feeding support, emotional support, or simply being present.
Overall, my goal is to meet families exactly where they are, so that, through every season and every shift, you feel seen, heard, supported, and never alone.
