After years of providing doula support to others, when it was my turn to give birth I made sure I had wonderful care. Even though my husband is an extraordinary support provider, we both agreed that in addition to excellent health-care providers, we needed a doula, both for birth and after. Though both of my birth experiences had their easy parts and their challenges, an age-old lesson was reinforced for me. Satisfaction was less related to the amount of pain I experienced, but more related to the amount of participation I had in my choices.

Hi, I'm Connie! With more than 25 years of experience, I've had the privilege of serving at over 1,000 births across 2 countries, 5 states, 50+ hospitals, 3 birth centers, and more than 100 homes. Hundreds of families have given me the honor of supporting them in their own homes after their babies were born. Supporting families through birth and the tender days that follow is truly my calling.
After years of providing doula support to others, when it was my turn to give birth, I made sure I had wonderful care. Even though my husband is an extraordinary support provider, we both agreed that, alongside excellent healthcare providers, we needed a doula, both for birth and afterward. Both of my birth experiences had their easy parts and their challenges, but they reinforced an age-old lesson for me: my satisfaction had less to do with the amount of pain I experienced and more to do with how much I participated in my own choices. At every step, I was given my options. My decisions were met with respect and kindness, my efforts were praised, and I was supported every inch of the way. Because of that, I look back on my children's births with pride, amazement, and joy, and I can say, "I did it!"I want the same for you. After my own baby was born, I recognized that while I had done so much to prepare, it was the active support of others that made it possible for me to truly thrive, and that's exactly what I'm here to offer you.
My goal is to help you feel informed, respected, and supported every step of the way, so you can look back on your birth and say, "I did it!" too.
My philosophy is rooted in a simple hope: to increase your confidence and decrease your fear as I walk beside you on your parenting journey. Having supported families at over a thousand births and having given birth myself, I've learned that satisfaction comes not from the absence of challenge, but from feeling informed, respected, and active in your own choices every step of the way. I take an approach grounded in education, encouragement, and steady presence.
At each step, I make sure you know your options, your decisions are met with respect and kindness, and your efforts are celebrated. My role is never to make decisions for you, but to help you feel prepared, supported, and capable as you move through pregnancy, birth, and beyond. Overall, my goal is to help you feel confident, empowered, and so well supported that you can look back on your experience with pride and say, "I did it!"
