Hi, I'm Izzy! I am a calm, genuine, passionate, and encouraging guide for your journey into motherhood. My work with families is rooted in the belief that the transition into parenthood is one of the most transformational experiences a person and partnership will ever move through.

Hi, I'm Izzy! I'm a calm, genuine, and deeply passionate birth and postpartum doula, midwife assistant, and founder of Peacepartum, a nationwide virtual support community for new mothers. For the past five years, I've had the privilege of walking alongside families through one of the most transformational experiences of their lives, backed by earlier work as a midwife assistant at home births and as a medical assistant alongside nurse midwives. This work is truly my calling.
My work is rooted in the belief that the transition into parenthood is one of the most profound journeys a person and partnership will ever move through, and that it deserves to be met with intention, skill, and genuine care. When I'm not in birth work, you can find me camping in the mountains, hiking through the trees, sharing meals with loved ones, dancing, and skiing!
My philosophy is rooted in family-centered care, with deep emphasis on the autonomy of the mother and reverence for the sacredness of birth. I practice holistic birthwork that welcomes partners fully into the journey, because I believe the transition into parenthood is one of the most profound passages a person and partnership will ever move through.
Unlike standard birth preparation, which often focuses primarily on logistics and pain management, my prenatal support is holistic and relational, preparing not just the body, but the mind, heart, and partnership for everything ahead. I guide families in cultivating deep partner connection, exploring and releasing fears, and building trust in the body's innate wisdom.
After birth, my postpartum care is informed by my mentorship with Carla Sage and The Art of Postpartum, drawing on Traditional Chinese Medicine to emphasize warmth, rest, nourishment, and the protection of a mother's vital energy. I believe postpartum is not meant to be navigated alone, so I show up as a steady, caring presence to help families recover fully, feel less isolated, and step into parenthood with greater trust in themselves.
I believe that a well-supported mother creates resilient families, thriving children, and ultimately a healthier society, and that conviction is at the heart of everything I do. Overall, my goal is always for you to look back on this season feeling seen, held, and confident in yourself and your instincts.
