Jessica — Birth & Postpartum Doula, DONA-Trained
For the past four years, I’ve had the honor of walking alongside families through birth and the early days of parenthood. My path here wasn’t a straight line — it grew out of 13 years as an early childhood educator, some time in nursing school, and a lifelong love of teaching and caring for others. Doula work brought all of that together: the joy of watching families grow, the privilege of guiding people through one of life’s biggest transitions, and my natural instinct to support and nurture.
I bring warmth, calm, and steady presence into the labor space, and I love helping families feel confident and informed about birth and newborn care. Becoming a first-time mom myself in 2025 has only deepened that connection — I understand the uncertainty, the exhaustion, and the beauty of those early weeks firsthand, and I bring that lived experience into how I support my clients. I live in Martinez with my family, and I’d be honored to be part of your birth story.
Bringing a baby into this world is truly a miraculous feat. In today's world it can also be filled with overwhelming thoughts, emotions, and conflicting information. My goal as a doula is to support families by helping them navigate all the various information, guide them to trusted resources, educate them on physiological birth, help make a birth plan, encourage them advocate for themselves, support them mentally, physically, and emotionally during labor and delivery, and prepare them for early parenthood. My goal is to bring your birth and postpartum vision into reality.
I have experience with many first time parents, single by choice parents, LQBTQ+ families, high-risk pregnancies, and many BIPOC families. I am also enrolled as a member Ponca Tribe of Nebraska.
