Hi, I'm Imane, and I'm just happy to be here! I came to birthwork by way of following my spiritual path. My teachers taught me how to be part of something bigger than myself, that each of us has a role to fulfill in our greater life. In my search for how to be of service to my community, birthwork and I found each other, and it's become one of the ways I offer love to the communities I belong to. This work is truly my calling.
I believe Love is the root of everything good, and its absence the root of everything harmful. I'm a dedicated learner who believes there's always more to learn from those before and around us, and I believe deeply in the magic of sisterhood; you can often find me baking, cooking, and laughing loudly with the women around me. I believe in joy, in trying things that seem really hard but feel amazing, in honesty, and in dismantling supremacy by any means necessary.
My practice is rooted in the belief that every person deserves to feel safe, informed, and supported through every phase of life, especially in this sacred time of bringing new life into the world. I understand this kind of support as a human right; if our modern way of living hadn't removed us from communal living, this care would simply be obvious, not something families have to seek out. I believe the way we heal as a society is by taking care of one another, and this is how I hope to contribute to you and your family.
My approach is to listen and work in collaboration with you and your provider. It's important to me that we all work together, so that you can make the most informed and empowered decisions during labor and feel as prepared as realistically possible for postpartum.
Knowledge is power, and while I hope to be a resource for you, I also recognize and honor that I cannot and should not be your primary source. The labor window and postpartum period are deeply sensitive and sacred, and I see my role as helping to protect and safeguard that time for families, supporting everyone in stepping into their own role.
Overall, my goal is to be invited into this chapter with gratitude and care, holding space so your family feels protected, prepared, and truly supported as you welcome new life.
"Throughout my pregnancy, Imane provided insightful guidance and support that greatly eased our family’s preparation. She took the time to educate us on informed labor and delivery options, as well as postpartum planning, ensuring we felt confident and ready. Her approach was carefully tailored to our needs, offering valuable resources and practical advice without overwhelming us. Thanks to her expertise and advocacy, we entered parenthood with a clear plan and a deeper understanding of what to expect.
Imane’s acumen and attentiveness make her doula services an excellent choice for anyone seeking skilled facilitation in the birthing process and early care, helping their family feel well-prepared and at ease."
