Hi, my name is Maribel. I am a DONA International certified birth doula and birth photographer based in Southern California. My work lives at the intersection of stewardship and artistry, offering both grounded support and honest, meaningful images that reflect the real story of your birth. Whether I’m holding space at your side or quietly documenting the moment, my intention is the same: that you feel safe, seen, and empowered throughout your journey.

Clients often share that I bring a calm, reassuring presence, along with photographs that help them remember not just what their birth looked like, but what it truly felt like to bring their baby into the world. This calling lights me up like no other profession ever has, and I’m deeply honored to walk alongside families, offering heart, skill, and steady support every step of the way. I believe in a world where birth is witnessed and stories are honored—where power rises from within, fear gives way to strength, and every journey into parenthood is held with deep respect.

I didn’t always know what a doula was—until I had one. Experiencing my own pregnancy and birth showed me firsthand how powerful it is to be supported, heard, and truly held during such a vulnerable and transformative time. That care made all the difference, and it awakened something in me. Now, I have the privilege of offering that same kind of support to others—walking beside you, helping you feel grounded, informed, and never alone as you welcome your baby into the world.
