Hi, I'm Marie! I'm a queer doula, compassionate, energetic, and supportive, and I welcome families from all walks of life, hoping to hold your hand as you walk through this next season. I work from an evidence-based lens, offering education, research, and ancient wisdom to my clients. Since becoming a doula, I've found my calling in helping families navigate the massive transformation of bringing a new baby into the world.
I'm childless myself, though a proud auntie to seven! I've had the honor and privilege of being deeply involved in the care of my nieces and nephews. I'm currently completing coursework to become an IBCLC, and I hope to become an evidence-based birth educator soon.
I believe the true beauty of the perinatal experience is transformation. Much like a butterfly in its cocoon, the pregnant person already knows instinctively how to complete their transformation; my role is simply to make the cocoon more comfortable. Along the way, you'll learn new things about yourself while bringing new life and personality into your world and home.
I welcome families from all walks of life, and I work from an evidence-based lens, offering education, research, and ancient wisdom, while holding your hand through this profound season.
My deepest goal is that the birthing person, the baby, and the whole family walk away with the least trauma possible, physically, mentally, and emotionally. Some things are out of our hands, but wherever we can, I believe doulas help by covering families in more compassion, more patience, more education, and more love to mitigate any potential for harm. Overall, my goal is to surround you with that care, so you can move through your transformation feeling safe, supported, and whole.
