Nicole Blaylock is a birth and postpartum doula, community lactation educator, and mother of four. A four-time home birther, Nicole knew after the empowering birth of her first son in 2007 that she was called to birth work. Supporting families through this sacred season is truly her calling.
She believes birth is both a beginning and a becoming, and she guides families with evidence-based movement, breathwork, trauma-informed care, and education. Since completing her MamaGlow Doula Homeschool training, Nicole has supported families across all birth settings, always centering safety, trust, and healing at every stage of the journey.
I believe birth is safe, especially when we approach it without fear. There is no right or wrong way to birth, but we tend to have the most positive outcomes when we feel safe, heard, and advocated for. I also believe birth is not just about bringing a baby into the world; it's about birthing a new version of yourself.
Fear is so often connected to the unknown, and I've found that filling knowledge gaps and offering unwavering support helps erode that fear, because knowledge brings freedom from fear. My approach is grounded in trust, deep listening, information, and advocacy, combining evidence-based knowledge with holistic, person-centered care that honors your body, your needs, and your unique journey.
In our prenatal visits, we create a safe space while exploring evidence-based movement, breathwork, and comfort techniques. During birth, I offer a steady, calming presence rooted in reassurance and advocacy. And in postpartum, I provide gentle guidance for lactation, newborn care, and recovery as you navigate this profound transition.
I love supporting families in releasing fear and past experiences, building confidence in their decisions and abilities, and stepping into birth and postpartum with clarity, positivity, and strength. Overall, my goal is for you to feel safe, heard, and respected, with a true sense of ownership over your experience, and the joy that comes when you feel fully supported.
