Hi, I'm Maya! I'm a certified birth and postpartum doula based in the East Bay, and I've had the privilege of supporting families through pregnancy, birth, and those tender early weeks at home for over eight years. I came to this work after my own birth experience showed me how much of a difference steady, informed support can make. Since then, I've attended more than 200 births across hospital, birth center, and home settings. I believe every family deserves to feel seen, heard, and genuinely cared for, and I bring warmth, calm, and a deep respect for each person's choices to everything I do. When I'm not with clients, you'll find me in my garden or chasing after my two kids.
I believe birth is yours, not mine. My role is to walk alongside you, not ahead of you, offering information, reassurance, and a steady presence so you can make the decisions that feel right for your family. I hold space without judgment, whether that means an unmedicated home birth, a planned cesarean, or anything in between. I'm there to help you feel confident and supported in whatever path your journey takes.
First-time parents, VBAC (vaginal birth after cesarean), teen and young parents, LGBTQ+ families, Spanish-speaking families, parents experiencing high-risk pregnancies, and families navigating NICU stays.
