About Me
Hi, I'm Ymani! I'm a 28-year-old doula dedicated to supporting birthing people from the very beginning of pregnancy through birth, bringing baby home, and into the postpartum period. My goal is to walk alongside you every step of the way—through every breath, every push, and every moment—so you never feel alone in your journey. I have always loved the birth process. My passion began with helping birth puppies, then supporting friends and family through their births, and eventually led me to become certified as a doula. To me, every birth is sacred. You deserve to feel seen, heard, supported, and held throughout your experience.
I am a constant survivor of endometriosis and have lived with it for as long as I can remember. From sharp, painful cramps both on and off my cycle to years of unanswered questions, it wasn't until I was 19 that I was finally able to put a name to what my body had been experiencing. This journey has deeply shaped my compassion, advocacy, and understanding of how important it is to be heard and believed in medical spaces.
My approach to prenatal, birth, and postpartum support is client-centered, prioritizing emotional safety and continuity of care. During pregnancy, I focus on education, trust-building, and preparation so you feel informed, confident, and supported in your choices. During birth, I offer continuous, compassionate presence through emotional reassurance, physical comfort measures, and support in navigating the birth space. Postpartum, my care centers on rest, recovery, emotional processing, cleaning and cooking if needed, newborn feeding support, and referrals when needed. I am here to provide informed, emotional, and physical support—honoring your choices, your body, and your story.
