Hi, I'm Zoe! I'm a doula, ceremonial facilitator, astrologer, modern-day medicine woman, and mama. I weave a web of care rooted in herbalism; emotional and nervous system support; physical practices to strengthen, sustain, and heal the pregnant, birthing, and postpartum body; family dynamics; and community resources and connection. I'm deeply honored to serve and support families as they move through the sacred transformation of bringing new life into the world, this work is truly my calling.
Peace on Earth begins at birth. My philosophy is to accept and protect the natural wisdom and intelligence of the body, and to help families plug back into the simplicity and magic of the mother-baby dyad. Sometimes this looks like intricate ritual and ceremony to honor these transitional times; sometimes it's as simple as being fully in your body, feeling a full-body yes or no as you make choices about your care.
I approach pregnancy, birth, and postpartum with deep reverence for the transformation and initiation they are. I seek to be a lighthouse of warmth, information, and centering practices, while always leading mothers and families back to their own power, intuition, and sovereignty. I am, above all, a space holder, treating this passage as the ceremony it truly is.
I'm deeply committed to a "village" model of care. I give families a framework to understand the physiology of pregnancy and postpartum, and I help them recognize their needs and rally their village in support. I've seen, both with clients and in my own pregnancy, birth, and postpartum, how much harm and isolation arise when new parents lack a village in those tender, vulnerable moments. So I see it as a vital part of my role to plug families into as many resources and community supports as possible, especially amid the hyper-individualism our society so often pushes.
Ultimately, I believe this is the work of intergenerational healing, of raising the next generations to know peace, deep respect for existence and needs, and the connection that breaks the cycles of trauma so many are trapped in. My goal is to make birth work fertile ground for the seeds of love and care humanity so desperately needs, beginning with you, your baby, and your village.
