Professional Conduct and Respect
Doulas are expected to conduct themselves with professionalism, courtesy, and respect in every interaction. Specifically, doulas shall:
- Refrain from profanity, swearing, cursing, or vulgar, offensive, or abusive language in all interactions — with clients and their families, Raya staff and team members, partner providers, payers, and within the Raya platform and any associated communication channels.
- Not diminish, disparage, demean, insult, or disrespect Raya Health, its team members and staff, its leadership, its platform and technology, its clients, its partner organizations and providers, payers and insurers, or fellow doulas — whether in private communications, on the platform, in front of clients, or in any public forum.
- Treat every individual with dignity regardless of role, background, or circumstance.
- Communicate calmly, constructively, and professionally, even in moments of disagreement, stress, or conflict.
- Refrain from harassment, bullying, intimidation, threats, or retaliatory behavior of any kind.
