No-Show Appointments
In accordance with our health plan contracts, doulas may not bill for no-show appointments. If a patient does not attend a scheduled visit, that appointment is not reimbursable and may not be billed under any circumstances, regardless of the reason for the absence. We recognize that no-shows are frustrating and outside of your control, which is why we work to prevent them on multiple fronts. We strongly recommend confirming every appointment directly with the patient ahead of time — ideally with a second confirmation shortly before the visit. On top of your outreach, every patient automatically receives multiple reminder notifications in advance of each scheduled appointment, so the responsibility for prompting attendance does not fall on you alone.| If you experience repeated no-shows with a particular patient, please reach out to support@findraya.com.
