Confidentiality and Privacy

Doulas handle sensitive personal and health information and must protect it at all times. Doulas shall: 

  • Keep all client information strictly confidential and use it only as necessary to provide services and as permitted by law. 
  • Comply with all applicable privacy and health-information laws and regulations, including HIPAA where applicable, and with Raya's privacy and data-handling policies. 
  • Protect any protected health information (PHI) and personal data from unauthorized access, disclosure, or use. 
  • Keep confidential all of Raya Health's proprietary, business, and confidential information — including client lists, billing and credentialing information, pricing, processes, and internal communications — both during and after the contracting relationship. 
  • Never share client photos, stories, or identifying details publicly without explicit, documented client consent.
